Burough Market and BBQ at Karen's
Yesturday, Laura and I went down to the Burough Food Market. This place is a
snacker's dream! All of the vendors try to pawn off their various types of
cheeses and odd meats on the unsuspecting passer-byers. We gratiously accepted
their generosity and had something of a free lunch on little snippets of stinky
cheese and smoked meat. Tons of different types of foods here, it's certainly
an organic food paradise.
Later on we went to Karen's place in Brixton. She has nice little place
with a nice little garden out back. We fired up her charcoal BBQ and cooked up
a bunch of veggies and shish kabobs. Very yummy. After a little while we took
the tube to the east end of the city and went to a weird little unmarked private
club where there were a bunch of DJ's playing music. Julie, one of Laura's
friends from Univerity of Toronto, knew one of the DJs so we were chatting with
him. It made us feel hip.
