Hyde Park and the Princess Dianna Fountain
Yesterday Laura and I went to Sheppard's Bush in an attempt at aimless
wandering. When we got there we found a little second hand clothing
store that was selling everything for £3. So we both bought Jackets.
Mine is a nice fitting suit jacket and Laura's is a pretty snazy,
semi-dressy brown one.

We didn't get a picture of Laura's unfortunately.

Then we jumped on a bus and got off at a park. As it turns out, it
was Hyde park. The one with the Serpentine Lake in the middle of it,
and various art museums and the Princess Dianna memorial fountain.

The fountain is very neat, it's a big oval of running water, where one
side of it is higher than the other so that water runs from the top,
down the two sides to the bottom. The path the water follows changes
constantly, sometimes it's smooth flowing, other times it's turbulent
and splashes all over the place. It's kinda neat.
The we walked back through Notting Hill, and there was a very long art market along the sidewalk where people where selling their paintings. It continued for about nine or ten blocks. Seemed like a great way to decorate a sidewalk. Here are all the pictures. Later on we met up with Julie and went out to Brick Lane for Indian food. Brick Lane is a great place where there are a lot of quality Indian restaurants where they have greeters who stand outside and promise amazing deals inside their restaurant. Very competitive place, but lots of yummy cheap food. Oh, on a side note, for those of you who've heard about the mobile phone texting lottery to get tickets to the Live 8 concert in Hyde park in July. Yes indeed, I was one of the two million participants to pay £1.50 to enter. I have a one in 28 chance of winning two tickets to go see U2, REM, Madonna, Coldplay, Pink Floyd, Elton John and a whole bunch of others. I expect to win. If not though, we'll go down and be one of the many who will hang out in the park without tickets, apparenlty they aren't closing it off to the public, so at least we'll be able to hear it.
