London Tube Explosion
The BBC and others are reporting about explosion(s?) in Tube system.
Neither Laura or I were effected. Laura is at work, having taken the
Tube this morning, but she takes the Jubilee line in north-west London
which is well out of central London's underground network.
All trains are shut down, so we're going to have to find bus routes
for her to get home. As of 10:40am (GMT) they aren't reporting these
as bomb(s), but potentially just power surges. They are saying that
the surges took place in several stations. Two of which I was in
(Edgware Road and King's Cross) yesturday during my central London
adventuring, post-olympic anouncement.
Lets hope it isn't overly optimistic to think it's just a mechanical problem.
Update 11:00am
Ok, so it does look pretty bad, they are talking about bombs on buses and bodies
and the full bit. I'm certainly not liking where this is going.
It seems as though the local mobile phone system is jammed with people trying to
call eachother. I can't get through to Laura, but I've been chatting with her
via email, so we're in communication.
Update 12:00pm
Laura, being the intrepid little organizer she is, has been organizing a list
of people in her office with cars and finding out where they are going to see
about setting people up with rides.
This is some nasty stuff, they are now talking about 4 bombs.
We've been getting calls/texts/emails from people seeing if we're ok. We've
heard from our friend Julie who is fine.
